Introduction

Citizens Advice Sandwell & Walsall provides free, confidential, and impartial advice for the people in Sandwell and Walsall no matter what problems you may have.

The Challenge

Citizens Advice Sandwell & Walsall wanted to deliver a Resilience and Well-being workshop for 70 staff members to enable them to negotiate constant organisational change and uncertainty.

The Approach

Agar identified a way to support the team members at Citizens Advice Sandwell & Walsall by recommending Insights Explore, which enables the charity to foster a shared language across their team. Due to the size of the group, we provided two facilitators to support learners through the day.

Using Insights Explore, we were able to offer a cost-effective tool which would personalise the learning. Agar focused on understanding individual preferences and how these can impact interactions with others, as well as responses to change and uncertainty. This approach also explored strategies to reduce stress and build resilience by encouraging team members to actively manage their own workloads and to consider how best to self-manager their resilience.

The Impact

The client wanted a number of tangible takeaways for participants. These included: Positive Mindset- To build positive habits for a more optimistic outlook. It’s key to improving creativity and productivity.

Managing Stress – Practical ways to change perspective so they can ‘choose’ how we respond to stress.
Self-Care – Tips tailored to their personality preferences that will help boost their productivity and creativity.
Unplugging – Encouraging the setting of digital boundaries to get a healthy balance.
Self-Esteem – Focusing on personality preferences and identifying some proactive steps to manage self-esteem.
Handling Emotions – Supporting participants to be better able to process their emotions to help them to perform at their best and help them work more effectively with others.
